A relaxed everyday tee
Our current Comfort Colors 1717 tees use a relaxed unisex fit and heavyweight, garment-dyed cotton. The fabric is pre-shrunk, but some change can still happen with washing and heat. Always check the garment and size chart on the product you are buying; this guide does not replace product-specific measurements.
Measure a tee you already love
- Lay a clean tee flat on a level surface. Smooth it out without stretching it.
- Width: measure straight across the body from one underarm seam to the other. This is a flat garment width, not a body chest circumference.
- Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder beside the collar to the bottom hem.
- Compare those measurements with the chart on the product page. If you want a roomier fit, compare against a tee you wear that way.
Measurements are approximate and manufacturing tolerances apply. Between sizes? Use your preferred fit and the product measurements together rather than relying only on the size letter.

The product chart lists a measurement tolerance of up to 1.5 inches. Garment dye can also create subtle variation between tees.
Wash gently. Go easy on the heat.
- Turn the tee inside out before washing.
- Machine wash cold, at a maximum of 90°F / 30°C, with similar colors.
- Do not bleach.
- Tumble dry on low heat; avoid high heat.
- If needed, iron on low and keep the iron off the printed artwork.
- Do not dry clean. Follow the garment label if it gives additional instructions.
